Burcham's Plumbing
A brand-new plumbing company was running on a hosted builder with a 'Powered by Webador' footer. We rebuilt it in Next.js with 18 location pages and a pricing setup that converts at 10pm on a Tuesday.

Burcham's Plumbing competes organically across the Piedmont Triad from a Yadkinville base. 18 location pages and 7 service pages give search engines something specific to rank for specific queries. No paid ads required.
The Challenge
Burcham's Plumbing was founded in early 2026 by Caitlin and Daniel Burcham. Daniel has been doing plumbing since age nine. The experience behind the business runs far deeper than the company's age suggests. But when they came to Koford Media, their digital presence was built on Webador, a hosted website builder in the same category as Wix or Squarespace. It listed services, confirmed licensing and insurance, showed a photo of the work van, and collected a few reviews. What it did not have: individual service pages targeting specific plumbing jobs, location pages for the surrounding cities they were already serving, published pricing, a structured FAQ, or any technical performance foundation capable of competing in organic search. And every page footer said 'Powered by Webador.' For a business whose entire positioning is built on the quality of the craft, that detail communicated something larger about digital investment.
The Approach
We rebuilt burchamsplumbing.com entirely from scratch using Next.js. The distinction matters technically and commercially. On a hosted builder, the business owner has no access to the underlying code, no control over how assets are delivered, no ability to implement Core Web Vitals optimizations that Google uses as direct ranking signals. On a properly built Next.js static export, every page is pre-rendered before it reaches a visitor. Images are WebP-converted and sized precisely at build time to eliminate layout shift. JavaScript loads only what each page requires. The performance gap between what Webador produces and what a correctly built Next.js site delivers is structural, and it compounds into search visibility over time.
The new site was built around a complete service page architecture. Instead of one generic services page covering everything, the site has dedicated pages for Emergency Plumbing, Water Heater Services, Drain Cleaning, Commercial Plumbing, Gas Line Services, Bathroom Plumbing, and New Construction Plumbing. Each page has its own URL, content written around real search intent, its own metadata, and its own structured data. This gives search engines something specific to index for specific queries. That is the difference between ranking for broad terms nobody searches and appearing when someone in Winston-Salem searches for water heater replacement at 10pm.
Alongside the service pages, we built a full network of location-specific landing pages covering every major area in Burcham's service territory: Yadkinville, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Kernersville, High Point, Clemmons, Lewisville, Statesville, Lexington, East Bend, Hamptonville, Courtney, King, Jonesville, Elkin, State Road, Thurmond, and Lake Norman. Each page is built with locally relevant content, consistent NAP signals, and service information structured for local search. The result: a plumbing company headquartered in a small town can compete organically across a fifty-mile radius without running a single paid advertisement.
Pricing transparency was a deliberate decision. Most plumbing companies avoid publishing prices, assuming it invites comparison shopping. The reality is the opposite. A customer searching for a plumber at midnight with no hot water is not comparison shopping. They want to know they will not be blindsided after the work is done. Publishing upfront pricing for service calls, drain snaking, camera work, hose bib repair, and water heater replacement builds the kind of trust that converts a search result into a phone call faster than anything else on the page.
What Was Built
The FAQ as an SEO Asset
Most small plumbing businesses either skip an FAQ entirely or produce a generic list that answers nothing specifically. We built a deep, structured resource covering Emergency and Scheduling, Pricing and Estimates, Drains and Sewers, Water Heaters, Gas Lines, Bathroom and Remodel Plumbing, Commercial and New Construction, Service Area and Licensing, Water Quality and Filtration, and Policies and Warranties.
The reason this matters for SEO is direct. FAQ content answers the exact questions real customers type into search engines. Those questions have an opportunity to rank individually, appear as rich snippets through FAQ schema markup, and be surfaced by AI-powered search tools: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, that pull structured answers from indexed content. The water heater section alone covers replacement costs with real numbers, honest tradeoffs between tank and tankless units, what is and is not included in standard replacement work, and the code-driven circumstances that require expansion tanks and pan drains. These are the questions customers are already asking. The site now answers them.
Photography That Cannot Be Faked
The site includes documented project photography from real Burcham job sites. New house rough-in work in Yadkinville, commercial underground plumbing for a local gym, a full waterline installation sequence photographed from excavation through completion. This is not stock imagery. It is visual proof of real work, and it serves as a trust signal for prospective customers and as indexed content with genuine location-specific signals that stock-photo competitors simply cannot replicate.
The Brand Position: We Fix Plumbers' Mistakes
Daniel's reputation in the area for showing up and fixing what other plumbers left wrong is not marketing copy. It is the honest description of how the crew has operated since day one. A three-person operation where the owners are on every job means the accountability on each project reflects the people whose name is on the truck, not a rotating pool of subcontractors. We built the site to communicate that clearly, because it is the actual differentiator. It became the central brand position: We Fix Plumbers' Mistakes.
Before, After, and the Redesign Months Later
Burcham's started on Webador, a hosted builder with a 'Powered by Webador' footer in the page. That was the before. Koford Media replaced it with a custom Next.js build: dedicated service pages, 18 location pages, published pricing, and a structured FAQ. That was the after.
Then, months after launch, we went back and redesigned it again. A new navigation, a branded 'Why Choose Us' section, a service coverage map, a quick-quote flow, a faster project gallery, and a real-time blog inquiry CTA. We do not ship a site and walk away. We keep improving it after launch. That ongoing commitment is The Koford Standard, and it is why clients stay.
Every site we manage ships with a built-in website feedback option. A client reports an issue, we fix it. The Ice Cream Factory feedback-and-fix email thread shows exactly how that loop runs in practice: report in, fix out, no ticket lost.
The Koford Standard
We Did Not Stop at a Great Site
Most agencies would have shipped that redesign and walked away. We do not. At Koford Media we keep every client winning, and we watch real search results to make it happen.
We saw one of Burcham's main competitors, Todd Brothers, ranking against them across the area. We studied their blog and found it was AI slop. So we built a plan: publish real, authority-grade posts for Burcham's Plumbing that earn rankings on craft, not filler.
It worked. Their complete new-construction plumbing timeline post now shows up in real search results. That is the Koford Standard.
